The Young Victoria

Blog break! no particular reason why either...although I suppose most of my free time has been spent in pursuit of Christmas presents. I am leaving Christmas Eve to see my family, and I am so so excited.

Anyway, I have been seeing more movies lately, and this has been bumped up on the list after hearing about it yesterday.



I love the era and would like to learn more about Victoria and Albert (especially if that means getting to look at Rupert Friend).

Also, the Vanity Fair shoot with Emily Blunt is gorgeous.

The Neon Boneyard

I really want to visit the Neon Boneyard at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, there is not much else I can stand about Vegas, and can't justify the trip. i'm going to keep and ear out for other reasons to go, and then maybe I'll finally be able to see this place.

I'm liking the art of Audrey Kawasaki right now. It is pretty and strange very sensual. I also think they would make really cool tattoos, which I mean as a high compliment--there's not much I would recommend having around permanently, and I think these would look really beautiful on skin.

Girl Crushes Just Happen.

I have a girl crush on Jen Collins (hellojenuine). She makes adorable illustrations and prints and she likes good music. She even illustrated select artisits from her iTunes (alphabetically!). Some favorites:

I want to go on a long train ride. While some of the ideals connected with trains no longer really apply (expansion, human advancement, travel to exotic lands), there is still something romantic and exciting about them.
