The Young Victoria

Blog break! no particular reason why either...although I suppose most of my free time has been spent in pursuit of Christmas presents. I am leaving Christmas Eve to see my family, and I am so so excited.

Anyway, I have been seeing more movies lately, and this has been bumped up on the list after hearing about it yesterday.

I love the era and would like to learn more about Victoria and Albert (especially if that means getting to look at Rupert Friend).

Also, the Vanity Fair shoot with Emily Blunt is gorgeous.

We keep getting gift baskets at work fill of chocolates and cookies, but the pears are the most delicious. Office, noon.

To Play Small Instruments

I really want to play the ukulele, or even better, the guitalele. I just think they are sweet, and they look terribly fun to play. Should I put one on the Christmas list?

Free Trees and Mulled Wine

I love Christmas. I love the food and the smells and especially the lights. My apartment is too small for a tree, and I wasn't going to get one this year, but my friend (with equally-too-small-for-tree apartment) was given one randomly, and so we asked K if we could take it to his house. An impromptu decorating party was arranged, and I ran out to buy some glittery balls and candy canes, and we went to town. It's no real beauty, our little tree, but I love it.

We didn't have a pretty skirt, so I threw some lights under a white sheet, and voila.

We also made mulled wine, which is surprisingly easy, and delicious.
